What I'm working on

Currently

Previously

  • As an Associate of Koreo, coaching staff members of an organisation that is closing down, supporting them with their feelings of loss, and to explore what’s next for them

  • Providing witnessing and coaching support for a funder prototyping an experimental fund related to elderhood and legacy

  • Co-facilitating an NHS department’s culture away day

  • Co-facilitating a 3-day Culture + Collaboration retreat for the Funders Initiative for Civil Society team (with Gemma Drake)

  • Supporting MAIA with designing and implementing their organisational Infrastructures of Care, as a majority disabled/ chronically ill organisation

  • Exploring good organisational endings, as part of Stewarding Loss

  • Co-designing a progamme, Camden Imagines, for imagination-led personal and organisational transformation with Camden Council, as part of my Associate role with Moral Imaginations

  • With hello brave, supporting a mental health and racial justice charity to redesign their decision-making processes and build greater psychological safety

  • Supporting the hello brave team with an operating model prototyping programme for Home-Start UK

  • Supporting Doughnut Economics Action Lab with their operating model and decision-making practices

  • Leading the first half of Patterns for Change, a project funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation and the National Lottery Community Fund, to define radically better organisational design in the UK non profit sector (the wonderful Tayo Medupin led the second half)

  • Supporting the Centre for Digital Public Services in Wales with their strategy development, as part of my work with ff.studio

  • Designing and running an 18-month design capability-building programme with the United Nations Development Programme in Armenia

  • Laying the foundations for user-centred policy design at The Department for Education, a project which led to my inclusion in A Day is Not Enough, a book about women influencing design for social good

  • Designing behaviour change products for over 1 million people with Public Health England, leading to my selection for WPP's Government & Public Sector Practice leadership development programme (2013/2014).

Questions that hold my attention

  • How can I support chronically ill people in their grief?

  • What are the conditions needed for relational repair?

  • What is the essence of creativity?

  • What does a regenerative organisation look like?

Big dreams

  • Start a venture with other chronically ill and disabled people. “To change something, build a new model that makes the existing model obsolete” (Buckminster Fuller)

  • Write an auto-theory memoir and a book about complexity-informed organisational design

  • Live by the sea.
